Meet the team: Gisela Caruzzi

In the second part of our “meet the team” series we speak to Gisela who heads up our hugely talented campaign delivery team

Hi Gisela! Let’s start with a bit about you! What did you do before Educate and what brought you here?

I moved to London a month before I started working at Educate. When I arrived, I began my search for a job and spoke to a number of different agencies. When I was interviewed by Educate I found 3 things interesting:

1) Working in a challenging and competitive industry such as education.

2) The opportunity to work in an international market as they recruit students from the UK and all over the world.

3) All the team members work with all the media channels, which allows you to continue learning and be constantly updated about all of the tools available to our clients

So, when they told me I was selected for the position I was more than happy as I knew it was going to be a great challenge, and indeed it is!

Tell us a little about your background before you joined us

I have been working in the industry (media agencies) for 7 years now, specialising in digital media, working across all media channels: Paid Social, SEM, Programmatic, Mobile, Influencer and Content Marketing.

I worked for very well-known clients such as Michelin, Honda Motors, Adecco and one of the biggest advertisers in Argentina, Telecom Group, which was an incredible challenge as I ran many campaigns every month, from branding to conversions objectives and had to manage huge budgets

Over the last 2 years working at the agency I was the responsible for the digital media team for Telecom Group first, and then for the whole digital department, managing a team of 11 people and developing digital media strategies for new businesses.

Now you’re at Educate, what does your typical day look like?

Well, I have too much work to do every day, which I enjoy a lot. I am never bored. My days at Educate are divided by many different tasks like doing research, developing strategies, setting campaigns up, monitoring, optimising and reporting.

Is there a part of your role that you find the most fulfilling?

I have three parts of my role that I like the most: optimising campaigns, analysing and developing strategies. I love trying to find solutions and thinking of different ways to do things.

Do you have a ‘proudest moment’ in your career to date?

Yes, I have. When I worked for my previous agency I had to participate in a pitch process for the first time where I had to develop the digital strategy and then present it to the client. I was so nervous as I had so much responsibility, but fortunately the presentation went very well, and we won the client!

And here, at Educate, it’s happened numerous times where we have run a campaign where the objective was conversions and the clients asked us to stop the campaign some days before the end date as they were overbooked. I felt so happy as we really care about the client’s goals and work very hard to achieve this kind of success.

What are you looking forward to achieving at Educate over the next couple of years?

I want to continue growing professionally, by acquiring new knowledge in the marketing industry, learning about new technologies and tools in the market and help Educate to win new clients.

What would you say it’s like working for Educate?

Educate care about people. The team is great, all the people working here are very kind, they help you whenever you need it, and they give you the opportunity to improve your skills by doing training related to your needs.

And finally, if you could describe yourself in three words, what would those words be?

Organised, creative and analytical.
